As a creative arts practitioner, I have facilitated workshops primarily in schools and more recently, a social service-led organization; making art fun, accessible and inspiring for all ages and needs. Throughout my practice, I aim to provide participants with autonomy and a sense of responsibility for their work. During workshops, I like to provide participants with the tools and materials needed and let them explore in their own artistic practice. I also like to offer participants to learn and grow with myself, by attempting a new medium neither of us has experimented with before!
Some of my previous workshops include:
Working with resin: Resin is one of my favourite mediums to work with; using resin with participants allows for them to see more into my practice and help develop a bond between the participant and facilitator, as well as providing them with a therapeutic experience watching the colours mix with one another.
Making art with nature: Allowing participants to use natural materials found all around them, encouraging them to think outside the box and use materials which are easily sourced and accessible
Acrylic Pours: Acrylic Pours is one of my newest workshops. One of the main challenges I face as a Creative Arts Practitioner is the phrase ‘I’m not good at art’, but acrylic pours don’t need much skill and are a great way to ease individuals into making, boost participants artistic confidence as well as experimenting and creating exciting patterns!
