Springboards Project:
Springboards was a project where I had several stimulus to react to; from the list i chose 'memory' as i was particularly interested in the 'old bookshelf' analogy by Dementia Friends. The analogy says that the old bookshelf is a representation of a person living with dementia's memory - The books representing memories, the books keep falling from the shelf, however, no matter how hard someone tries, you wont successfully be able to put the books back exactly where they were before. In my visual representation I created a book shelf, and various books labeled with certain stereotypes people with dementia might face, such as 'Who are these people?, This isn't my House? this isn't how I remember it? and Where did I put my...?'. Each book has a different activity within it to solve, once you have accomplished this, you must then try and put all the books back on the shelf. However, the shelves are wonky and the books keep falling off.
